STARTING CONVERSATIONS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH.

We invite guests from a variety of professions, backgrounds, & experiences to chat about their mental health journeys. The focus is on opening up the conversation around mental health, especially within the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

    — Michelle Hanabusa / Episode 9 “Rising with Community”

  • “You spend all your time with yourself, so why not be kind to yourself, instead of talking yourself down (…) From there, I thought, that’s a pretty good start.”

    — Kevin Charles Keizuchi / Episode 32 “Forward Thinking”

  • “Failure, once again, creates an opportunity. I say the game plays games with you all the time.”

    — Kelly Inouye-Perez / Episode 5 “Championship Mentality”

  • “Part of my mental health journey is to support those people who want to change the situation for the better.”

    — Mike Murase / Episode 24 “Original Changemaker”

  • “I think what made me keep going is just to pick yourself back up even though it’s hard at times.”

    — Moet Kurakata / Episode 17 “Recovery and Discovery”

  • “There is something beautiful that happens when we release the identifications that have been given to us and rest in something much older and deeper and wiser — which is our humanity.”

    — Charlotte Ngyuen / Episode 55 “Drink As You Pour”

  • “If future me had been there to tell past me (…) then maybe that would have helped me get to therapy and then help me later in life.”

    — Max Kaito / Episode 23 “Med School and Mental Health”

  • “I just wanted to see if therapy was something that I would benefit from.”

    — Nicole Oshima / Episode 42 “Nicole’s Version”
